It is me in hollywood in 80s

Ini Aku Di Hollywood Pada Tahun 80-an

This is a picture of me taken in the 80′s in Hollywood, California where I lived. I don’t even remember who took the photo now.

My step-parents didn’t allow me to do Dharma or get involved with the centre. I ran away like three times and on the third time I was successful. My step-parents didn’t try to get me back anymore. I left New Jersey at 16 and hitchiked across the United States on my own to California. I had like US$50 and bought cheap apples to eat on the way and slept outside. It was really cold at night. I wanted to go to Hawaii, but didn’t have money in California so just stayed in Hollywood, worked and lived in the dharma centre called Thubten Dhargye Ling or TDL. It was headed by a great master named Geshe Tsultrim Gyeltsen. I loved him very much. He passed away recently. That is where I met Kyabje Zong Rinpoche who changed my whole life. He acknowledged I am a Tulku. Continue reading…

Diana

Diana 1

This is Diana in front of the new Tv I presented her last week. Shin was very helpful to find different models on line and give Diana the facts as to which Tv would be good. Many times I want to get some quick information or sending something to Diana, Shin’s on the phone with her. Thanks Shin for helping Diana, a Lady with a big heart. Shin, you’re a lady with a big heart too.

Diana is my long time dharma sister from the USA. She lives in Ohio now. But when we met, she lived in Los Angeles. We met back in the mid 80′s there. We met just before the Glorious Kyabje Zong Rinpoche ( a living Heruka Buddha in the flesh) arrived in Thubten Dhargye Ling Dharma Centre (TDL) started by Ven Geshe Tsultrim Gyeltsen. Serving

melayani

Some of us serve our selfish endeavours, some of us serve others and some of us don’t serve at all. Whatever the case is at this point, the real enemy is the mind that wishes happiness for itself and not anyone else. When people, environment, circumstances and facilities are used strictly directly and indirectly for our own ends, then THAT is the real cause to all unhappiness that arises.

I bow down to the Lord of Ferocious Wisdom,
Who shows a horrific form mirroring our ego and it’s graspings,
stamping on the very causes of our sufferings and it’s instincts
under your 16 sacred feet.
Your 9 faces and 34 arms are but representations
of your skilfull means to liberate, nurture and conquer
all that we percieve as pleasure when in actuality
being deluded, they are the very causes of our personal Samsara.
Knowing this, I hold my three sets of vows, Tantric commitments, Bodhicitta,
and Guru Devotion as supreme and see your sacred form in all that appears to me.
Lord of Wisdom in whom incredible abilities are inherent in Your practice,
to avert and counter samsara during the degenerate period,
I humbly bow down to you, Great Yamantaka!

With You

Dengan Dirimu

Positive relationships sometimes can be wonderful. But you have to remember you are having a relationship with that person.

That person is the real object of your positive relationship. You don’t use that person to further a unhealthy relationship with yourself.

Note about offering by Panchen Ötrul Rinpoche

Catatan mengenai Persembahan oleh Panchen Ötrul Rinpoche

I would like to share this teaching on Offerings by Panchen Ötrul Rinpoche with my students and friends as it would be most beneficial for us to know the significance of making offerings to the Three Jewels.

Making offerings to higher beings is to collect merits. Why collect merits? What type of merits? How does collecting merits benefit us? All these we need to know. Continue reading…

Opening Ceremony Office of Kechara-In-Motion (KIM)

Last Wednesday, Kechara In Motion (KIM) had their official opening! Another one of Kechara’s 13 depts has their own premises!!! Finally after two years, KIM has their very own premises near our Kechara Gompa is Sunway Mas. I am very proud of Ms Han. In the Liaisons meeting around two months ago, I requested her to make a KIM office manifest as the KIM team was working out of the LadrangÖwe love them at the Ladrang for sure, but it was time to get their own office for many good reasons. Ms Han promised she would and she did it!!! I repeat, I am proud of Ms Han, her team and this growing Dept!!

From 6pm, lots of friends started arriving at KIM to show their support. When they arrived, they thought that it would just be a normal gathering of friends..what they didn’t know what that there was a buffet spread of food in the KIM meeting room! Hehe The food was catered from Kechara Oasis and some friends brought along a few dishes to share as well. Continue reading…
