In June 2011, LP3I college offered an opportunity to KSK ID to extend its student sponsorship program to helping college students. As this is an opportunity of a lifetime, we extend this opportunity to two people who have been working hard for KSK ID by doing behind the scene work to execute our charity works, Nike Permatasari dan Riki. Both will commence their college education in September 2011. Nike will be majoring in Accounting and Riki will be majoring in Informatic Computing.
I congratulate both of these hardworking young individuals and wish the best for their futures.
Message and impression from Nike and Riki:
I did not expect to continue my education to college. Everything went on as a surprise. Firstly, LP3I Director came to Ms. Valentina’s residence and what happened next made me really happy.
I have been wanting to continue my education to college. However, since going to college is not cheap, I delay this plan. However, my dream became a reality on the day and time that I did not expect.
I have started to participate in pre-college activities. I met a lot of new friends. I am very happy to know them. My first pre-college activity was about a lesson on English language, a subject that I am not really proficient in, but I will work hard.
I will not waste this opportunity. I will continue to work hard and be patient.
There were many things that I want from my graduation [from high school]. Especially, I want to continue to further my education and be able to reach my goals in life. However, sometimes my wish to further my education was dashed due to inadequate funding when I graduated from high school. But, my hope to continue thrived again when I heard the news that I can go to college.
My first pre-college activity was very impressive and made me really happy. Because on that first day, there are a lot of new things in my life, especially new friends, new class, and new environment. That day was one of the happiest day in my life and will not be easy to forget.
Thank you for the support. I will strive to be a better person.
